Travala signs a partnership with Agoda
Travala and Agoda have signed a partnership to increase travel opportunities for those who want to pay in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.
Agoda is a digital travel platform created in Singapore in 2005 and boasts a global network of over 2.5 million properties in over 200 countries worldwide, including luxury or budget hotels, apartments, houses and villas.
It is part of the company listed on Nasdaq Booking Holdings and has over 4,000 employees in 30 countries.
Travala.com is a cryptocurrency travel booking service founded in 2017, and now includes more than 2.2 million hotels and homes in 230 countries, in addition to 600 airlines worldwide.
It is supported by Binance and accepts payments in over 30 cryptocurrencies, as well as traditional payment methods. It also has its own native token, AVA, which can be used for payments, loyalty rewards, discounts and bonuses.
Agoda’s hotels on Travala
Thanks to the new partnership, over 600,000 hotels available on Agoda have been included in the Travala.com catalogue, bringing the total number of properties available on the blockchain platform to over 2,200,000, in 90,124 destinations.

According to a report by 2gether at the beginning of the year, the sector that attracts the most customers paying in cryptocurrency would be travel, with hotels and restaurants at the top of crypto users’ spending charts: 32.71% of payments made on the platform concern this specific sector.
Moreover, although in second place there are supermarkets and grocery stores, while in third place there are communications, in fourth place there is transport, and in fifth place, there is the recreational and cultural sector, two additional sectors related to travel.
